When Denholm’s began diversifying in the early 1980’s the North Sea was one of the emerging sources for oil and gas and Denholm invested in companies serving the industry.
Painting of both vessels and oil rigs brought a need for cleaning & jetting and in turn for scaffolding. This multi discipline organisation became Denholm Industrial Services, serving both the oil and gas industry and ship and construction projects.
The nature of the oil & gas industry resulted in a separate division of Denholm Oilfileld Services, allowing Denholm Industrial Services to specialise in the contracting market covering vessel painting and coating, scaffolding, infrastructure projects (motorway & rail bridges) and concrete cleaning and surface preparation.
Today the Contracting Division (without oilfield services) has a turnover in excess of £20 million and its companies are highly rated by all for whom they work.
